Workshop : “’The others ’in a Trans-cultural Perspective”

　　　Sponsored by Global History Center of CNU,a workshop on the theme of  “’The others ’in a Trans-cultural Perspective” was held in the building of CNU International Culture on November 27^th,2016.Prof. Liang Zhanjun ,the vice-dean of graduate school and Prof.Yi Zhaoyin of Humanities and Communications College of Shanghai Normal University made the opening statement.

　　    There are three parts concerning the conference,namely the “self” and the “others” in ancient world,the “others” in the modern expanding of the West and the east and the west in the perspective of oriental studies.The topics also includes ethnic identity,the imagination and construction of the “others”,the establishment of colonial discourse,localized Europe,colonial knowledge，the memory and cognition in history,cultural conflict and trans-cultural spread.
